Base Concepts install a comprehensive range of security doors for commercial clients throughout the UK. The security doors can be installed internally or externally and common applications include factories, offices, warehousing, public buildings & retail premises.

All our security doors are made to measure & manufactured from high strength steel and have a unique support within the door frame designed to strengthen the hinge area. There are numerous product models and options to choose from and Base Concepts will make recommendations based in individual site requirements.

The Combat Security Door is a general all purpose personnel product available as a single, leaf and half and double door set with a very large selection of options and extras so each door can be tailor-made to customer requirements.

The Combat 1 Security Door is an outward opening single door design certified to LPCB 1175 Security Level 1.

The Combat 3 Security Door is certified to LPCB 1175 Security Level 3 and available in a variety of single and double door sets.

The Combat Fire Security Door has been developed to provide a certified range of fire rated personnel security doors.

The Combat Community Security Door is a general all purpose communal entrance door. Used in conjunction with other access control systems, the Community door has achieved police preferred “Secured By Design” accreditation.

Combat Security Door

The Combat multi-purpose security door offers unbeatable value and choice. Available as a single, leaf and a half or double door set, the multi-purpose security door comes with a range of options including panic bars for fire exits.

Combat 1 Security Door

The Combat 1 is an outward opening single security door design certified to LPCB 1175 Security Level 1. The design of the door is very similar to the standard Combat product, but the security door incorporates a special reinforcement system to provide additional security.

Combat 3 Security Door


The Combat 3 Security Door is certified to LPCB 1175 Security Level 3 and available in a variety of single and double door sets.

Combat Fire Security Door

The Combat Fire Security Door has been independently tested by Chiltern International Fire to BS 476: Part 22 1987 for a minimum of 4 hours fire resistance.

The Combat Community Security Door is a general all purpose communal entrance door. Used in conjunction with other access control systems, the Community door has achieved police preferred “Secured By Design” accreditation.

  • 1.6mm Zintec steel leafs.
  • Integral anti jemmy strip.
  • Continual stainless steel piano hinge.
  • Access Control-heavy duty closers return the door to the closed position and concealed electro-magnetic locks provide automatic locking.
  • Single leafs have a concealed Mag lock.

How much do security doors cost?
The cost of our security doors will vary dependent on specification and opening sizes. Please contact the office with estimated sizes and anticipated control requirements and we will give you have an accurate quotation over the telephone. Providing detail supplied is not significantly different from a physical site survey, we will honour all referenced verbal quotations. 

Alternatively, simply contact the office and request a site survey. Our Surveyors are exactly that – Surveyors! There is no hard sell and they measure and offer advice to suit your needs.   

How do I know I am getting value for money?
Roché do not employ “direct sales techniques”. We do not inflate pricing to offer clients magical discounts for same day purchases etc. We pride ourselves on ethical selling and guarantee our clients accurate pricing commitment from the initial enquiry stage though to site installation. This transparency has been instrumental in our success. Beware of any supplier who offers magical discounts for same day purchase. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

How can I be assured of product quality?

Roché will not compromise quality and all our products are designed and built to TUV standards of excellence. Manufacture and installation is quality assured to BS EN ISO 9001: 2000. Much of our business is ‘word of mouth’ recommendation and Roché believe this is testimony to our customer service and after sales support. We encourage potential customers to view existing installations to ensure complete piece of mind.
The company is a member of The Door & Hardware Federation, British Blind & Shutters Association, Construction Line and the Guild of Master Craftsman. All domestic installations are underwritten by Homepro (Fair Trades Limited) for peace of mind.

Furthermore, working closely with the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) & the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), Roché has gained numerous security product approvals and associated accreditations. The LPCB (which is part of BRE Global) work with insurers, government, police, designers, manufacturers, contractors and end users to develop methods by which product performance and reliability can be assessed. All the products approved by LPCB have been subjected to rigorous testing to assess their resistance to deliberate attack and gain “Secured by Design” status.

What advice is available and how do I get a quotation?
Roché manage your project every step of the way from concept, through design to installation. In the first instance, we would encourage customers to request product literature via this website or contact our Customer Services Department on 0800 0851 461. The office staff manages all incoming enquiries, supported by a 24 hour answering service.

Domestic Market
Roché will never employ high pressure sales techniques, often typical in the home improvement market. Roché is unique in that it will give an indication of cost over the telephone and Roché surveyors will visit your home to conduct a site audit at your convenience.

Commercial Market
Services for commercial clients / specifiers include manufacture, supply and installation service. Additional services include site surveys / security audits, product design, after sales servicing and repair / insurance work.

What about installation?
All our products are custom-made from accurate measurements taken by our surveyors, to be installed by Roché engineers. Polite and well presented, the high level of recommendation work we undertake is testimony to their commitment.

What sizes are available?
Security doors are available in a variety of sizes (standard and bespoke) and can be single or double leaf dependent on product option chosen. 

What about product options?
Roché offer a variety of security doors. The Combat door is a superb quality personnel door available with an array of handle and locking options. The Combat 1 & 3 security doors offer security upgrades and are insurance approved to LPS1175 SR1 & SR3 respectively. The Combat Fire product has been developed to provide a certified range of fire rated personnel and fire exit security doors. The “Secured By Design” Combat Community Door is a general all purpose communal entrance option.
